CHEMEXPO 2001 - A Celebration of National Chemistry Week
ChemExpo 2001 was held November 12, 2001 at the Ward Arena of McNeese State University. ChemExpo was jointly sponsored by the local industries, McNeese State University and the Southwest Louisiana Section of the American Chemical Society. The program was targeted at all sixth grade students in Calcasieu Parish. Hands-on demos were provided for approximately 2700 sixth grade students. Demo leaders included industrial employees, McNeese faculty, graduate and undergraduate students. The photos below show a training session for one of the demos and then photos from ChemExpo 2001 itself.
